Driver Portal

The Driver Portal, step by step

The Driver Portal is a mobile-first workspace for completing assigned trips, built so a driver can go from sign-in to a fully documented trip completion without leaving the app.

A typical driver workflow

  1. Sign in and review the active trip and today's schedule.
  2. Open the trip and review the patient, pickup, drop-off, mobility, and service-area details.
  3. Use the route action to open navigation.
  4. Start the trip and record required pickup or odometer information.
  5. Complete the pickup and drop-off events as they occur.
  6. Enter the reason for visit.
  7. Capture the member signature, unless the member is unable to sign and the appropriate option is selected.
  8. Add the driver signature.
  9. Review all entries and submit completion.

Reason for visit requirement

Reason for visit is required when a driver completes a trip. The driver must enter a non-blank reason before completion can be submitted — if the field is empty, the app displays an error and the trip remains incomplete. This requirement is enforced in the driver interface and on the server, so an incomplete completion cannot be accepted by bypassing the screen.

Offline and connectivity behavior

If the device loses connectivity, the driver should follow the offline instructions shown in the app and synchronize as soon as a reliable connection returns. The driver should not submit duplicate completion attempts. If the trip remains stuck, contact dispatch and provide the trip identifier.

Driver profile and completed trips

The driver's address and contact information are maintained under the user avatar's Driver Profile area rather than taking space in the main trip workspace. Completed Trips is also available from the avatar menu, where the driver can review completed work, miles, estimated pay, and available trip-sheet downloads. Use My Profile to return to general profile settings. From a profile overlay or completed-trip view, use the available back action to return to the Driver Portal.
